Understanding the Seed Phrase

A Seed Phrase (also referred to as Secret Recovery Phrase, Secret Phrase, or Private Key) is a “password” to your Wallet which stores all the information needed to access or recover your funds.

A Seed Phrase consists of a combination of 12 or 24 words and serves the purpose of a back-up key. If the Wallet is lost, the personal recovery phrase can be used to restore the account.

You always need to make sure that you know your 12-Word Seed Phrase. We encourage you to write it down in a safe place, with a water resistant pen and on a durable paper.

If the Wallet is lost and you do not have your Seed Phrase written down, you will need to initiate the Recovery Mechanism. To prevent it, we would recommend you to keep your Seed Phrase safe.

Please follow steps described below:

  1. If you have not set up your Wallet yet, please visit this page to complete the onboarding process.
